Interesting points. Thanks to your books I have found something I can identify with. Being of Saxon decent I suppose I was looking for something I felt may be lost in time, but your information struck a cord. Many thanks for a great website, and always looking forward to your posts.

Alaric, your story of Lord Ing brought tears to my eyes, and not only because I sensed the depths of your feelings, but because yours are very similar to my own. I have been searching for so long, and traveled down so many dead end roads. Now, nearing the end of my days I finally find that the Gods for whom I have searched so long are the same ones my mother told be about as a small child. I thought her stories were just that, stories for children, for how could such magnificent beings ever have been real? I have spent the year since my retirement reading as much as I could about many different pantheons. I found nothing until I found your Travels Through Middle Earth, and The Path of a Saxon Sorcerer: Wyrdworking. Thank you for writing these books, which I sincerely hope will be just the beginning of your writing career!

Have a great time Alaric.

Have just started on Travels Through Middle-Earth for the second time - what a great book, thank you!

As well as being Anglo Saxon Pagan I'm also active in Druidry (OBOD) so I appreciate what you say about that....people needn't be worried about it being a strange and foreign path, and I hope you all have a great time.....

For more than a decade, I focused my relationships on trying to connect with other pagans. Once a year we would have a - usually dramatic - outburst and falling out. It's only now when I share celebrations with friends (including some non-pagans) that it feels more stable. The important thing is sharing with people you care about, not necessarily strangers that use the same self identifying religious term...so I completely agree with Alaric's points.

It's refreshing to see such humility in a published author - I know the other kinds of books you're talking about and they are terrible on several different levels. Haven't read your book yet, but I'm planning on purchasing it within the next week or so and also looking forward to your next one!
